Ultimate Construction is serving as an exterior envelope subcontractor to Gilbane Building Company for the ongoing construction of a new and improved facility for high school students in Norwalk, Connecticut. The project includes both custom fabrication of exterior components through Ultimate Construction’s subsidiary, ASF, and on-site installation by Ultimate’s field team.

This integrated approach allows for tighter coordination between fabrication and installation, ensuring consistency across materials, details, and sequencing as the project progresses toward its anticipated completion in 2027.

Scope of Work

Ultimate Construction’s scope includes the fabrication and installation of a multi-system exterior wall assembly totaling approximately 74,000 square feet, consisting of the following components:

  • 2,500 SF of 4mm Reynobond aluminum composite material (ACM) panels, shop-fabricated in-house by ASF
  • 60,000 SF of Morin Matrix Series 22-gauge metal wall panels, including custom shop-fabricated mitered corner panels
  • 11,000 SF of 1/8-inch aluminum cornice, shop-fabricated by ASF and installed over hat channel sub-framing.

The scope requires close coordination between fabrication, detailing, and field installation to ensure alignment across multiple panel systems and façade transitions.
